LIIT LMS Portal - Rules & Guidelines for Use

Welcome to the LIIT Learning Management System (LMS) Portal, operated by the Loveworld Institute of Innovation and Technology (LIIT) (“LIIT”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LIIT LMS Portal, including all courses, content, services, and features available through the platform.

By accessing or using the LIIT LMS Portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

To use the LIIT LMS Portal, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction), or
  • Have permission from a parent/guardian if you are a minor.
  • Provide accurate and complete registration details.

LIIT reserves the right to refuse access to any user at its discretion.

2. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account.

You agree that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and current.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

LIIT is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to protect your account credentials.

3. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the LIIT LMS Portal for lawful and educational purposes only.

You must not:

  • Use the platform for illegal or unauthorized activities.
  • Disrupt, damage, or interfere with the platform’s functionality.
  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the system.
  • Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful files.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

LIIT may suspend or terminate access if misuse is detected.

4. Course Enrollment and Access

Course access may be granted through:

  • Registration and enrollment,
  • Payment (where applicable),
  • Scholarship or sponsorship,
  • Organizational approval.

LIIT reserves the right to:

  • Modify, replace, update, or remove courses at any time.
  • Change course schedules, instructors, and training structure.

Access to course content may be time-limited depending on the program.

5. Fees, Payments, and Refund Policy

Some courses or services may require payment.

You agree that:

  • All payments must be made through approved channels.
  • Fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • Course commencement,
  • Access already granted,
  • Completion percentage,
  • Specific program refund policy.

LIIT reserves the right to revise fees at any time.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the LIIT LMS Portal, including but not limited to:

  • Videos, training materials, modules, curriculum,
  • Text, designs, graphics, software,
  • Logos, trademarks, and branding,

are the intellectual property of LIIT or its licensors and are protected by copyright and applicable laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, record, resell, or reproduce any course content.
  • Upload LIIT materials to other platforms without written permission.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use course materials strictly for personal learning purposes.

7. User Content and Submissions

You may submit assignments, projects, discussion posts, comments, or other materials (“User Content”).

By submitting User Content, you grant LIIT a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, store, and reproduce the content for educational, assessment, and platform improvement purposes.

You confirm that:

  • Your submissions do not violate any laws or third-party rights.
  • Your submissions are respectful and do not contain harmful or offensive material.

LIIT reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Code of Conduct

LIIT maintains a learning environment grounded in excellence, professionalism, and respect.

Users must not:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against others.
  • Post abusive, vulgar, inappropriate, or offensive content.
  • Promote hateful speech, violence, or immoral conduct.
  • Share misleading or false information deliberately.

Violation may lead to suspension or permanent removal from the LMS.

9. Certificates and Completion Requirements

Certificates may be issued based on program requirements, which may include:

  • Completion of modules,
  • Passing assessments,
  • Attendance and participation,
  • Submission of assignments and projects.

LIIT reserves the right to:

  • Withhold certificates where requirements are not met.
  • Withdraw certificates in cases of academic dishonesty or misconduct.

Certificates are for training and recognition purposes and do not automatically imply employment eligibility.

10. Academic Integrity

You agree to uphold honesty and integrity.

You must not:

  • Plagiarize assignments or projects.
  • Submit another person’s work as your own.
  • Cheat during tests or evaluations.
  • Share test answers with other participants.

Any breach may result in disciplinary action, including failure, suspension, or expulsion from the program.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using the portal, you consent to:

  • Collection and processing of your information for training administration.
  • Use of performance data for reporting and improvement purposes.

LIIT may store and process data securely and will not sell your personal data to third parties without consent, except where required by law.

12. Platform Availability

LIIT aims to provide uninterrupted access but does not guarantee that the platform will always be available.

The platform may be unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance and upgrades,
  • Server downtime,
  • Internet disruptions,
  • Security issues.

LIIT is not liable for any loss due to service interruptions.

13. Third-Party Links and Tools

The LMS may contain links to third-party websites, software, or tools.

LIIT does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.

Use of third-party services is at your own risk.

14. Termination and Suspension

LIIT reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access without notice if:

  • You violate these Terms,
  • You engage in harmful conduct,
  • You misuse the platform,
  • You fail to pay required fees (where applicable).

Upon termination:

  • Your access to courses may be revoked.
  • You may lose access to progress data and content.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LIIT shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data,
  • Business disruption,
  • Indirect or incidental damages,
  • Loss arising from reliance on course content.

All services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

16. Disclaimer

LIIT provides educational and training services. We do not guarantee:

  • Employment outcomes,
  • Specific financial results,
  • Business success,
  • Certification recognition by external institutions.

Users are responsible for applying the knowledge and skills learned.

17. Changes to Terms

LIIT may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will take effect once posted on the LMS portal.

Your continued use of the portal after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
